How to install
Choose your device. The instructions take less than a minute.
- Open this site in Safari. Other browsers on iPhone and iPad will not work for installation.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down in the share menu until you see Add to Home Screen. Tap it.
- You will see a preview with the ॐ icon and the name Brahma Muhurta. Tap Add in the top-right corner.
- The icon now sits on your home screen. Tap it to open Brahma Muhurta in its own window, without the browser bar.
If you do not see Add to Home Screen in the share menu, scroll down further or tap Edit Actions at the bottom to add it.
- Open this site in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or another modern browser.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the browser.
- Select Install app or Add to Home Screen. The exact wording depends on your browser.
- Confirm by tapping Install. The app will be added to your home screen and your app drawer.
- You may also see a small banner at the top or bottom of the screen offering installation directly. Either route works.
On Android, the installed app behaves almost identically to one downloaded from the Play Store, but uses a fraction of the storage.
- Open this site in Chrome, Edge, or Brave on your computer.
- Look for an install icon in the address bar - usually a small square with a downward arrow, on the right side of the URL.
- Click the icon, then click Install in the prompt that appears.
- Brahma Muhurta will open in its own window and add itself to your applications list, your dock, or your start menu.
- You can pin it for quick access, just like any other app.
Safari on Mac does not yet support web app installation in the same way. Use Chrome, Edge, or Brave for the cleanest experience.
What gets stored
When you install, the site itself is cached on your device - the pages, the layout, the icon. The Yoga Nidra audio is not pre-downloaded. It is cached only as you play each segment, so the first practice uses your connection and every subsequent practice can be done offline.
Nothing is sent back. There are no accounts, no analytics tracking your practice, no notifications waiting to interrupt you. The installation is between your device and the cache. Brahma Muhurta has no idea you are using it, and prefers it that way.
To remove it
Uninstall as you would any other app. On iPhone, hold the icon and tap Remove App. On Android, drag the icon to Uninstall at the top of the screen. On desktop, right-click the app and choose Uninstall. The cache is cleared automatically.
